The Advanced Track - Improv: Lab - Fall II '25

Description: The Advanced Track is a 3-part sequence of classes intended for improvisers who have completed our (or others') program and are interested in continuing their improv journey with students of similar experience levels.

Classes include:

• Part I - Improv: Lab - a deep dive into advanced techniques and theory
• Part II (Winter '26) - Improv: Practicum - ensemble-focused work, applying tools in a rehearsal-style environment
• Part III (Spring '26) - Improv: Capstone - culminating in a sequence of performances in The Revival's weekend programming

Improv: Lab

Times/Days: Tuesdays 6:00-9:00pm (11/4/25 - 12/16/25)

Final Performance: Tuesday, December 16th (8:00pm)

Class Length: 7 weeks/3.0 hrs. per week

Teacher: Sam Super

Sam (he/him/his) performs, writes and teaches comedy across the globe. For two years Sam performed in Amsterdam at the legendary Boom Chicago and recently returned to direct their critically acclaimed mainstage show. Other comedy credits include: The Second City’s Improv All-Stars, Baby Wants Candy, Revolver (iO Theater), The Deltones (iO Theater), ComedySportz Chicago, and several cruise ships with The Second City and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Sam teaches in the Improv and Conservatory programs at the Second City Training Center where he was honored as the 2017 Teacher of the Year.
